Winnipeg Model Railroad Club

The Winnipeg Model Railroad Club (WMRC) is the premiere model railroad club located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, meeting the needs of modelers in G, O, HO, N, Z, and T gauge scales of the model railroad hobby.  A 100% NMRA (National Model Railroad Association) Club, the WMRC is in the Thousand Lakes Region (TLR) of the NMRA and operates within the No.1 Northern Division of the TLR.

Meetings, except for the May wind-up meeting, are generally held on the second Friday evening of each month beginning at 7:30 p.m. from September to April (check our Facebook site or Blog for up-to-date date details).  WMRC meetings are at the Charleswood Royal Canadian Legion, 6003 Roblin Boulevard, in the Tank Room (click here for a map). Use the west side for parking and the entrance door.  There is a handicap accessible elevator as well.  The May wind-up meeting site varies, and members are advised.

The WMRC publishes an informative monthly digital newsletter, The Lantern, and has an extensive library where members can borrow train DVDs and literature from the many hundreds on file.  Throughout the year WMRC members visit some of the home basement layouts of other members and in the non-meeting months of June, July, and August, special events may be organized.

Be sure to look at the other aspects of the WMRC on this web site.  Follow us on Facebook and keep current with the latest news and meeting dates on our Blog.  If you have questions, please send an e-mail so that we can respond with answers.
